The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was formally established in 1830 in Fayette, New York, with Joseph Smith as the first President of the Church.
The Church has grown from humble beginnings into a global community of 17 million believers united in following Jesus Christ.
We are part of Jesus Christ’s restored Church, led by the Savior through His divinely inspired prophet.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints make up a diverse community of people around the world with a shared faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ plays a central role in our beliefs and in our lives. Our mission is to invite all of God’s children to follow Jesus and experience the joy that is possible because of Him.
